Overview
The Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Treatments is a beauty aesthetic qualification aimed at level 3 qualified practitioners, who wish to add a range of Advanced Aesthetic Treatments to their repertoire of treatment offerings and proceed to employment as a level 4 Aesthetic Practitioner. This course consists of 80% online learning and 20% in class practical learning, so this course is easy and accessible for busy lives.
What does this course cover
This qualification is informed by employers and national and international standards for aesthetic beauty and developed by technical experts. It includes all the required elements to work effectively as a fully commercial aesthetic practitioner.
Learners must achieve the mandatory unit:
- Principles, practice and ethics of advanced aesthetic therapies
- Investigative consultation for advanced aesthetic therapies
- Skin science for advanced aesthetic therapies
And the practical units of:
- Provide chemical skin peel resurfacing
- Provide dermaplaning techniques
- Provide microneedling techniques
Who is suitable
This unique qualification is most suitable for anyone wishing to gain a level 4 qualification in a wide range of advanced aesthetic therapies. Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant principles and practices and advanced and safe skin care protocols for a bespoke selection of aesthetic practices. Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, and provide specific aftercare and home care advice.
Methods of assessment
The methods of assessment during this course include assignments, exam testing and an end of course practical exam by the awarding body.
Progression
Learners can easily to progress onto Level 5 Aesthetic Practice or to work in salons, spas or aesthetic clinics.
Certification
Once you have completed your course, you will also receive your VTCT qualification certificate (this can take up to 12 weeks to be released from the awarding body VTCT)
