Training centres will need to be approved by the awarding body and work with them to ensure delivery of qualifications is sufficient and that activities are carried out and designed to assure the quality of the qualification that is awarded.
The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) is a non-ministerial government department. They regulate qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. Ofqual reports directly to Parliament.
The RQF is the Regulatory
RQF qualifications are made up of units and credits. They are regulated by Ofqual. This means your course and your award is fully recognised in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This also makes it easier to get international recognition with a government backed certificate.
NOS stands for National Occupational Standards and it describes the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to undertake a particular task or job to a nationally recognised level of competence.

Internal Quality Assurer (also known as an Internal Verifier). This is an important part of the learning and assessment process. It’s their responsibility to make sure everything from classroom study to final examinations run smoothly and to a high standard.
The Diploma in Education & Training (DET) qualification is for those carrying out a teaching role and who need to gain Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).
An EQA’s role is to review the processes of assessment and internal quality assurance within an approved centre. An EQA must ensure approved centre staff members are making assessment judgements that are consistent with the qualification learning outcomes and assessment criteria
