Advanced Cannula Dermal Filler Techniques

Cost: £650.00

1 Day

Pre-requisites: Foundation Dermal Filler Qualification

The advanced cannula course is ideal for aesthetic practitioners who have a good basic knowledge of dermal filler injections and who feel ready to develop their knowledge of alternative techniques by exploring the use of cannula in particular.

Learning to inject with a needle is the foundation building block to aesthetic injections. However, for many procedures, mastering cannula techniques opens a door to quicker and safer results with less bruising, bleeding, discomfort and, ultimately, fewer side effects, complications and greater patient satisfaction.

This course will explain the benefits of the cannula and give clear understanding of when it is more appropriate than using a needle and where needles are still the most effective approach.

You will learn the essential theory before watching demonstrations and having the opportunity to practice on live models.

  • Provide refresher knowledge of facial anatomy
  • Explanation of cannula vs needles – when to select which and advantages / disadvantages of both
  • Knowledge building for cannula skills with underpinning theory – a variety of facial areas will be covered according to indications presented on the day by patient models
  • Understand and manage a variety of side effects, complications, patient concerns and how to address them
  • Demonstration of cannula techniques on real patient models
  • Establish confidence through practical hands-on experience on patient models

Areas covered are nasolabial folds, marionette lines, tear trough, jaw and cheeks.

We will provide practical models for you during training, unless otherwise stated.

How to Become an Aesthetic Practitioner UK | Start Right

More people than ever are searching for how to become an aesthetic practitioner in the UK – and more people than ever are making the same avoidable mistakes when they do. The UK aesthetics market is worth 3.6 billion pounds and growing. It is also largely unregulated in England, which means the barrier to entry is low enough that people with inadequate training are practising on real clients. Learning how to do this properly, from the start, is not just good for business. In an industry moving rapidly towards mandatory licensing in 2026, it is essential.

How to Get Into Aesthetics UK- The Mistakes Most Therapists Make at the Start

How to Get Into Aesthetics UK | The Honest Guide

Every week, therapists across the UK ask how to get into aesthetics. Most get a version of the same answer: pick a course, get certified, start treating. What that advice skips is everything that determines whether the transition actually works. The practitioners who build durable aesthetics practices are not the ones who moved fastest. They are the ones who started correctly – with the right specialism, the right training foundation, and a clear understanding of the mistakes that derail most beginners before they gain traction.
